7 South OTT Releases: There are a number of South Indian movie releases that are scheduled to be released this week on OTT platforms. Here are seven South Indian movies and shows that you can watch on OTT platforms this week.
1. Irumudi
Irumudi is an action drama starring Ravi Teja and revolving around Trinadh, a father who is protective towards his daughter, Manikanta. Manikanta comes across some secret information that includes her friend and other girls in school. Manikanta goes missing after which Trinadh gets an audio message and starts searching for her. Starring Ravi Teja, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sai Kumar, Baby Nakshathra, and Ajay Ghosh, the film is directed by Shiva Nirvana and will be available on Netflix starting September 18, 2026.
2. Idi Mazha Kaattu
Idi Mazha Kaattu is a Malayalam comedy thriller movie that is helmed by Ambili S. Rengan. This movie narrates the journey of Sougada, who is a migrant girl from West Bengal. When she loses all her belongings, her hunt introduces her to four different kinds of men.
This movie has Chemban Vinod, Sreenath Bhasi, Senthil Krishna, and Sudhi Koppa. Idi Mazha Kaattu can be streamed on Saina Play starting from September 18, 2026.
3. Dhee 21 – Double Impact
In the new season of the popular Telugu dance reality show, Dhee 21 - Double Impact will premiere soon. Host of this show, Pradeep Machiraju, along with Anupama Parameswaran and Jani Master forms the judges' panel of the show. The reality show can be watched on ETVWin and Netflix from September 19, 2026.
4. Modha Rathri
Tamil comedy drama, Modha Rathri, focuses on the life of Maruthanayagam and Muthuselvi, two characters who get into an arranged marriage due to family pressure and village customs.
Maruthu is back from Dubai after six years, whereas Muthuselvi gets into this marriage in spite of being heartbroken. Directed by Raja Karuppasamy, Modha Rathri is starred by Rishikanth, Anishma Anilkumar, Shelly Kishore, and Chetan.
5. Ram and Leela
Ram and Leela is a Tamil science fiction romantic comedy film featuring Rio Raj and Varthika. In the movie, Ram, a 30-year old man, faces 50 rejections prior to marrying Leela during their journey on a local train.
Leela accepts to marry him, but sets one bizarre condition: he should not see her after 6 pm. His attempts to find out why causes some funny scenes and a surprising link with an ancient lineage of aliens. The film directed by Ramachandrran Kannan will premiere on Prime Video from September 18, 2026.
6. Thudakkam
Malayalam martial arts thriller Thudakkam is set to make its mark in the career of actress Vismaya Mohanlal. She plays Meenu, a young martial artist whose life gets transformed when she helps two girls in school.
However, things take a serious turn when a mysterious man starts stalking her. Her family starts looking for answers when Meenu goes missing. Finally, her Muay Thai training comes in handy when she needs to protect herself and her family. Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, the movie also stars Ashish Joe Antony, Bobby Kurian, Sai Kumar and Manoj K. Jayan. Thudakkam will be streamed on JioHotstar from September 18, 2026.
7. Angikaaram
Angikaaram is a Tamil sports action drama that revolves around Aathiran Banumathi, an excellent 200-meter runner from a slum in Chennai. In spite of poverty and discrimination, he makes efforts to make it to the Commonwealth Games. His name gets accidentally deleted from the list, which results in him fighting hard to get his chance back.
The movie features Kotapadi J Rajesh, Sindhoori Vishwanath, Viji Venkatesh, Rangaraj Pandey and Mansoor Ali Khan. Directed by Thenpathiyan, Angikaaram will premiere on SunNXT from September 18, 2026.
From Irumudi, Thudakkam, Ram and Leela to Angikaaram, there is action, comedy, romance, reality entertainment and sports drama that fans of South Indian OTT can enjoy.
