RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Backs Youth Voices, Urges Dialogue

RSS chief says Gen Z’s concerns deserve attention and should be addressed through dialogue and reforms.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat apparently backed the worries people in India’s younger generation have been talking about , he said the issues of Gen Z are real and they should get proper, serious attention. While speaking at a youth oriented event in Mumbai, Bhagwat also suggested that protests shouldn’t be taken in a bad way, because they play an important role in democratic back and forth conversations. In his words, young folk asking difficult questions about things that shape their future, are something we should listen to, instead of brushing them aside.

Protests Are Part of Democratic Dialogue

Bhagwat said that protests are a legitimate way of speaking in a democracy, mostly when people feel that their concerns are not really being handled. In his view arguments and back and forth debates are necessary for building agreement, and peaceful demonstrations can help in the same process rather than just creating noise. He also pointed out that these movements should be geared towards making the system better , instead of stirring divisions among people.

Calls for Improvement in Education System

Referring to the recent student led demonstrations, Bhagwat acknowledged that, there is a lot of room for enhancement in India’s education system. He also said that many of the worries brought up by young people seem tied to educational openings, transparency, and how good the institutions actually are. In his view, these problems call for reforms that are more than cosmetic, plus ongoing focus—by policymakers as well as society.

Gen Z Should Not Be Labelled Anti-National

The RSS chief also said no to the notion that protesting youth should be labeled as anti national. He told that Gen Z and Gen Alpha are in a big way invested in the country future, and that they often do their protests with a genuine patriot feeling, not anything else. Bhagwat also, mentioned younger generations want rational answers and a more open talk, instead of just unquestioning acceptance ,so it becomes more and more crucial to engage with them over time.

Bhagwat ’s remarks have sorta added a new dimension to the ongoing discussi on around youth activism and democratic participation.
