New Evidence Brings Vijay Back Into the Police Investigation as the Final Chapter of the Drishyam Franchise Prepares for Its October 2 Release
Drishyam: The Conclusion Trailer: and the final film in the popular suspense thriller franchise has been released by the producers. This latest film features Ajay Devgn in the lead role and features an exciting fight between Vijay Salgaonkar and the police force. This suspense thriller is directed by Abhishek Pathak and will hit theaters on October 2.
The 2-minute-52-second trailer shows us Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, a person who has been safeguarding his family members and guarding a massive secret for several years. But this time, things are getting complicated for him because the police have gathered strong evidence against him.
As in previous films, Tabu comes back as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran again appears as Vijay's wife Nandini. The latest installment introduces two actors – Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. Jaideep Ahlawat is shown as a new police officer, who is investigating the case, while Prakash Raj features as a lawyer who cautions Meera not to underestimate Vijay.
From the trailer, we come to know that this time, Vijay is facing an altogether different kind of threat. In previous installments, he managed to protect his family using his wit and intelligence. This time, however, the investigation seems to have moved much closer to the truth.
Ahlawat seems confident about breaking the story that has been woven by Vijay. In the trailer, it is clear that the newly appointed officer knows Vijay and is prepared to enter into a long war of mind. Also, Prakash Raj’s character reminds that although Vijay might not be highly educated, he is certainly not foolish.
On his part, Vijay knows that there has been some kind of change. He tells his family that the game now is not just a game of mind but has turned into a battle against destiny. Such lines set the tone of the last chapter and indicate that this time the Salgaonkar family will face their biggest threat ever.
The trailer concludes with one more strong message delivered by Vijay. Here, Vijay tells the investigating officer about what an ordinary man is capable of doing once his family is endangered. Such dialogue adds more enigma to the movie and leaves one wondering if Vijay will again succeed in fooling the police.
Drishyam: The Conclusion is a joint production by Star Studios and Panorama Studios. This movie continues the journey of Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator in Goa, who takes extreme measures to save his family.
Drishyam (the first one), which came out in 2015, introduces the audience to the life of Vijay and his family. The story starts after Sam, the son of Meera Deshmukh (a police officer), dies in an accident with the elder daughter of Vijay – Anju. Vijay then devises an elaborate plan to protect his family from the police investigation.
The sequel to this film, Drishyam 2, was released in 2022. In the second film, after seven years, the police reopen the case after finding a new witness. This film again revolves around the efforts of Vijay to protect his family despite increasing pressure from the police.
With the upcoming film Drishyam: The Conclusion, the makers are bringing the story to its conclusion. The trailer reveals that the movie will continue with the franchise's blend of suspense, family drama, police investigation, and psychological thriller.
The comeback of Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran, coupled with the entry of Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj, has certainly raised curiosity about the movie. There would be some new developments and concrete evidence against Vijay in this new movie, which will answer many questions related to the story.
