Shruti Haasan opens up about companionship, marriage, independence and her views on wedding expenses

In that discussion, Shruti spoke plainly about why she does not always link commitment and loyalty to a marriage done under law. She pointed to legal paperwork and big, planned wedding events that often come with it. She also said she wonders why a couple needs forms and a major ceremony to prove they are committed. For her, companionship matters. She likes having a partner and being with someone. On the podcast, she said she wants to be a mother one day. She added that she would consider adoption. She also shared that she is interested in biological motherhood. She described it as something that would feel like a part of her.
