Ramayana Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor's Film Heads Towards a Big Opening

Ramayana Advance Booking has gained significant momentum ahead of the film's scheduled November 5 release. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the much-awaited mythological epic, Ramayana Part 1, is attracting audiences in both domestic and international markets. While overseas advance sales are showing strong numbers, ticket bookings in India are also picking up pace. According to a report by Sacnilk, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer has earned Rs 19.61 crore through advance booking in India. Out of this amount, Rs 16.31 crore has been collected without including block seats. The film has reportedly sold around 4.01 lakh tickets across 9,050 shows so far. The advance booking figures indicate considerable interest among moviegoers, particularly as the release date approaches. The film's domestic performance is being closely watched because of its scale, star cast and the popularity of the Ramayana story.

Overseas Advance Booking Nears Rs 28 Crore

The international market is also contributing significantly to the film's advance booking performance. As per the Sacnilk report, Ramayana Part 1 has collected approximately Rs 27.03 crore in overseas advance sales for its opening weekend. North America is currently the biggest contributor among international markets, accounting for around Rs 20 crore in advance bookings. However, advance sales in the Middle East, considered an important market for Indian films, are yet to begin. With a few days remaining before the theatrical release, the overseas numbers could change further as additional markets open their bookings. The strong response from North America has added to expectations surrounding the film's international opening.

Karnataka Leads Day 1 Advance Booking in India

Among Indian states, Karnataka is reportedly leading the Day 1 advance booking charts for Ramayana. The state has recorded ticket sales worth Rs 3.89 crore. Maharashtra is close behind, with advance bookings worth Rs 3.85 crore. Delhi occupies the third position with collections of approximately Rs 2.65 crore. These figures highlight the film's growing reach across different parts of the country. The response from Karnataka and Maharashtra, in particular, suggests strong interest in the film ahead of its opening day.

Hindi Version Dominates Advance Sales

The Hindi version of Ramayana Part 1 is currently leading the language-wise advance booking figures. According to the report, the Hindi version has generated Rs 16.28 crore in pre-sales, accounting for nearly 83 per cent of the film's reported Day 1 advance booking collection in India. The Kannada version is in second place with Rs 2.56 crore in advance sales. The Telugu version has collected approximately Rs 67.10 lakh, while the Tamil version has recorded Rs 10.51 lakh so far. The language-wise figures indicate that the Hindi version is driving the majority of domestic ticket sales. However, bookings in other languages could gain momentum as the release date gets closer.

Ranbir Kapoor Leads a Star-Studded Cast

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana Part 1 features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol will portray Lord Hanuman in the film. The ensemble cast also includes Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi and Sheeba Chaddha in prominent roles. The film has been produced by Namit Malhotra, with music composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The collaboration between the celebrated composers has added another major point of interest for audiences.

Can Ramayana Deliver a Strong Opening?

The advance booking figures suggest that Ramayana Part 1 is building considerable anticipation before its theatrical debut. Its domestic ticket sales, combined with the strong overseas response, have placed the film among the major releases to watch. However, the final opening-day performance will depend on ticket sales closer to release, audience response and word of mouth after the first shows. With North America contributing strongly and domestic bookings gaining pace, the film is heading towards an important box-office debut. All eyes are now on November 5, when audiences will finally get to see Nitesh Tiwari's cinematic interpretation of the epic Ramayana on the big screen.
