Thalapathy Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan, is still doing pretty well at the box office even after it entered week two in theatres. As per early trade estimates, Jana Nayagan earned around ₹2.10 crore India net on Day 13. With that, the movie’s total India net now looks like ₹181.55 crore, while the India gross has climbed to nearly ₹211.74 crore. Even though the weekday figures are definitely lower when you compare them with the opening week, the film has, somehow managed to keep a steady momentum at the box office. On Tuesday, the film recorded about 21.17% theatre occupancy overall. Evening shows turned out to be the top performers with 27.31% occupancy, then after that came afternoon, night, and morning shows. It continues to do especially well in Tamil Nadu, where Vijay has this huge fan base. And even with the weekday slowdown, multiple theatres are still reporting strong footfall, like people are still turning up regularly.
The film overseas performance is also, honestly, pretty outstanding. With strong collections coming in from international markets Jana Nayagan has now crossed the ₹300 crore worldwide mark.
