The Lock Upp 2 contestant said he loves Shivangi Joshi as a friend but denied they are in a relationship.
After his emotional exit from Lock Upp 2, actor Harshad Chopda has finally addressed the dating rumours floating around him and Shivangi Joshi. Speaking on Tejasswi Prakash's chat show, Shut Upp With Tejasswi, Harshad got real about his friendship with her and how his whole journey played out on the reality show. During the chat, Tejasswi asked Harshad straight up if he and Shivangi were dating. This question has been stuck in fans heads since the two shared a close bond inside the Lock Upp 2 house. Harshad shut down the rumours clearly and said, "No, we are not. I really love her. But I'm not in love with her. There is a difference." And honestly, after this statement people pretty much stopped speculating about their relationship. He also talked about how his connection with Shivangi started during the show. He shared that they were already friends before entering the competition, and their bond just naturally grew stronger while they were living together in the same house. Later, when Tejasswi asked if he would stay in touch with any of his fellow contestants after the show, Harshad gave a slightly surprising answer. Instead of picking one name, he said he doesn’t think he will remain in contact with anyone once the show ends. Thinking back on his journey, Harshad said he never entered the competition with a fixed blueprint. As per him, his only aim was to be himself, and not “perform” or play any game. He said, "My game was that of a no game. I wanted to stay true to myself. The only thing I didn't want to show was my emotional side." Tejasswi also pointed out that Harshad seemed more focused on protecting Shivangi than looking out for himself. To that, Harshad explained that nothing was planned in advance. The environment inside the house kinda brought them closer, and he was just supporting a friend whenever it was needed.
With Harshad now out of the competition, all attention is on the Lock Upp 2 Grand Finale. The finalists include Shivangi Joshi, Shreya Kalra, Ram Kapoor, Shilpa Shinde, and Yogesh Rawat. One of them will win the trophy and the grand cash prize of ₹1 crore.
