Harshad Chopda secures the first finalist spot, while Shivangi Joshi is eliminated after an emotional task

The newest episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2, had one of the larger twists so far. Harshad Chopda finally officially turned into the first finalist of the reality show. It was emotional ride, because this same episode also looked like the quiet ending of Shivangi Joshi’s journey. She got eliminated after a heartbreaking task, so both the contestants and viewers were left emotional. In that episode they brought a special challenge to pick the first finalist. The contestants were told to decide, among themselves, who actually deserved the grand finale spot. Shilpa Shinde, Ram Kapoor, Akanksha Chamola and Laila, voluntarily stepped out of the race. So after that, it was basically only Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi left standing, as the final two contenders. Then the two were locked inside the last prison cell, and given a tough, almost impossible choice. They had to figure out, between them, who keeps going in the competition and who has to step out before the finale. But instead of going head to head, Harshad and Shivangi showed mutual respect. They kept insisting that the other person deserved the finalist spot. That emotional conversation went on for several minutes. Harshad said that throughout the season he had been mostly busy supporting and helping other contestants. Still, he admitted that this was the first time he wanted to shift his focus inward, and give his own journey a chance. Shivangi, in return, stayed just as encouraging, and she shared that if the trophy was meant to be hers, then she felt she would earn it someday. But since neither one was willing to take the final call, Riteish Deshmukh, who plays the jailer in the show, stepped in to break the deadlock, and end the whole stalemate. He asked both contestants to make a clear decision and reminded them that someone has to move forward. Although Harshad initially thought about sacrificing his place, in the end he decided to stay in the competition, saying that he wants to put himself first for once.
After Harshad’s choice , Shivangi walked out of the prison cell, officially confirming Harshad Chopda as the first finalist of Lock Upp 2. The whole emotional moment got applauded by the other contestants, and Shivangi accepted the result with a lot of grace even though it clearly hurt. Once she left the task area, Shivangi started crying. She said Harshad deserved the finalist spot just as much as she did, and she even wished him success in the competition. Her quiet but gut-wrenching exit made many contestants look genuinely upset. Earlier in the episode, Shreya Kalra won a special advantage , and that gave her the power to remove one contestant from the show. She used it, and chose to eliminate Shivangi Joshi, which officially ended her journey in Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2. Now that Harshad Chopda is the first finalist and Shivangi Joshi is out, the fight for the remaining finalist spots. With the grand finale getting closer , viewers can expect more curveballs, heartfelt scenes and tough challenges in the upcoming episodes. Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2 streams from Saturday to Thursday at 8 PM on Netflix, with the grand finale now pretty much around the corner.
