Bigg Boss 20 Aasif Khan Controversy: The actor of Panchayat drama series Aasif Khan has faced some backlash for the statement that he gave recently regarding moustache and masculinity in one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 20. The statement that he gave when they were discussing something related to the captaincy task created differences between many housemates. The actor has already faced some controversy in the past during the course of the reality show because of his conduct inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.

It all began when the team of Yung DSA won the diss battle competition and became eligible for captaincy. He further went on to say that Yung made the members of his team wear mustaches in a certain way. Aasif Khan later came to the defense of Yung DSA during the discussion and associated mustaches with his Rajasthani identity. He said, “Hum Rajasthan se aate hain, yeh mooch humari pehchaan hai aur muchmundo ko mardon mein consider nahi karte hum.” In essence, he said that mustaches were a part of their identity and that men without mustaches were not taken as “real men” in their culture.

Housemates Disagree With Aasif

All of the housemates did not agree with Aasif’s comments. Gullu and Aman Gandhi contradicted the idea that there should be a correlation between masculinity and having a moustache. Gullu reminded everyone that there were many men who did not sport a moustache and that included people who appeared on the show. This was in direct contradiction to the idea that facial hair should be seen as a yardstick for measuring masculinity. Mahhi Vij too objected to the comment. She contended that the idea of being a “real man” had nothing to do with having a moustache. She related masculinity with the ability to sustain a relationship and keep a family united.
