NEET PG 2026 result is out with category-wise qualifying cutoffs and rank details
The result of NEET PG 2026 has been released by the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on September 24, 2026. Students who have participated in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate can now check their result and ranks at the NBEMS exam portal. The official notice board of NBEMS has confirmed that the result of NEET-PG 2026 has been released. The main NEET PG 2026 examination has taken place on August 30, where the number of students participating in the exam was 2,63,544. However, another exam has been held separately in Jaipur on September 5 due to some problem faced by certain candidates at two exam centers.

NEET PG Result Rank List
The result of NEET PG 2026 contains the rank of the candidates. The rank is the position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who appeared for the exam and is based on marks scored by the candidates in the exam along with the tie breaker policy. Rank and qualification of the candidates help in preparing for the next step of admission. However, qualifying in NEET PG does not necessarily guarantee admission into the course/college itself. The candidate needs to fulfill eligibility criteria and take part in the process of counseling and seat allocation. For state quota seats, merit and category-wise list of the candidates will be prepared by each of the states and union territories as per the eligibility conditions and other policies of admission.
NEET PG 2026 Answer Key and Scorecard
The NEET PG 2026 scorecards will be released and downloaded by candidates from the NBEMS official website from October 1, 2026, onwards. The release of the score cards will be available for a period of six months from the date of their release. The answer key will also be released from October 1. Candidates can access all information related to the question ID, answer ID, response ID, and marks allotted for each question through their application login. It has been reported that both the question papers went through an evaluation process after the examination by faculties of the concerned specialty.
What Is Next After NEET PG Result?
After the announcement of the NEET PG 2026 result, there is the counseling and admission process that follows. Students must have all their ranks, their qualifying status, and eligibility information in hand for the next step. It should be noted that the candidature will still be provisional and must be confirmed based on the eligibility criteria outlined in the NEET PG 2026 Information Bulletin.
