NSE IPO Day 3: ₹22,561 crore NSE IPO closes today, check GMP, allotment and listing details

Day 3 of NSE IPO: Today is the final day of the subscription of NSE IPO, which will conclude on September 21, 2026. The IPO with an amount of ₹22,561.57 crore commenced for subscription from September 17 and will conclude today. This issue has been highly popular among the investors and has already been oversubscribed till the second day of subscription. The remaining investors, who have not made their subscription till now, can apply for it till the end of the subscription period.

NSE IPO Day 3: The IPO of National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) is now coming to an end, as today is the third and last day for the submission of applications. The ₹22,561.57 crores public issue began for subscription from September 17 and today is the last day. The investors who are not yet applied for IPO have the last chance till the end of the subscription period on this day. This public issue has gained much attention due to the status of NSE in the Indian capital market sector.

Price Band and Lot Size for NSE IPO

NSE IPO has been valued between ₹1,700 to ₹1,785 per share. The smallest retail lot contains eight shares. The top price band requires around ₹14,280 to make an application for one lot. The IPO is offered based on the book building process, in which participants from different investor categories apply for the IPO.

Full Subscription Received on Day 2

NSE IPO had seen bids for all the shares on Day 2. Institutional and non-institutional investor categories showed high interest in the IPO, as did the retail investor category. The response has ensured that the IPO continues to be in the spotlight till the last day, with investors keeping a close eye on subscription figures, GMP movements and brokerage opinions.

Key Risks of NSE IPO Identified by Religare Broking

Religare Broking has adopted a Neutral stance on the IPO of NSE. The broker pointed out the transaction-related income of the company as a key risk. According to the broker, any decrease in the number or value of transactions would impact transaction income as well as earnings growth. The heavy reliance of NSE on the options segment makes it vulnerable to changes in trading. Regulatory concerns pertaining to derivatives and options trading were also considered as a key factor influencing trading volume in the future. Religare believes that while the long-term growth opportunity in the capital market of India is positive, earnings growth would be contingent on trading volume, regulatory stability, and participation in the market. Contrary to this, Angel One has opted to subscribe to the NSE IPO. The main reason is that the stockbroker pointed out NSE’s robust competitive position, high revenues and profitability levels, large market share in the equity derivatives sector and long-term growth potential of Indian capital markets. Moreover, Angel One did a valuation comparison between NSE and its listed competitor BSE. It is argued by Angel One that at the higher price band of ₹1,785, NSE’s valuation is at 35.4 times post-issue P/E, while the latter is 54.2 times for BSE. However, it is acknowledged by the stockbroker that NSE is facing some regulation-related challenges in terms of derivatives trading volumes in the short term.

The Entire NSE IPO is an Offer for Sale

₹22,561.57 crore NSE IPO is totally an OFS issue. It means that NSE is not issuing fresh shares for raising money through this issue. The shares of the existing shareholders are sold via the public issue, so the money raised by IPO will be collected by the selling shareholders, but not by NSE. It is not the source of funding for any new projects and initiatives of NSE.

Allotment and Listing of NSE IPO

The allotment for the NSE IPO will be finalised on September 22, 2026. The shares will get listed before allocation to the successful applicants. NSE shares will list on the BSE on September 24, 2026.
