Apple just unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at the “Surprise and Shine” event. These are the newest top models from the company. They also include updates versus the earlier Pro phones. Inside, both phones use Apple’s A20 Pro chip. They also use the company’s new C2 modem. The iPhone 18 Pro costs Rs. 1,64,900 in India for the 256GB model. For the same storage size, the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs. 1,79,900. Each model can also be bought in other storage options. You can pick 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB. Outside India, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199. The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299, both for the 256GB versions. The iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3 inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen. The iPhone 18 Pro Max uses a bigger 6.9 inch display. Both phones support ProMotion. They also have the Always On display feature. A20 Pro Chip Set Gets a Big Speed Boost
Apple says the iPhone 18 Pro line uses the A20 Pro chipset. It is built on a 2nm process. The chip has a six core CPU plus Neural Accelerators. It also includes a seven core GPU. For AI work, there is a dual 16 core Neural Engine. Apple also claims a memory gain. It says the A20 Pro brings 50 percent more memory bandwidth than the A19 Pro. It adds that GPU work can be up to 40 percent quicker. Apple further says AI performance is doubled. Apple frames these changes for heavy use.
