Toxic Advance Booking: Yash Film Earns ₹41.36 Crore
Toxic Advance Booking: The eagerly awaited Yash starrer film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' is creating a huge buzz even before its release. This high-octane gangster thriller film has created quite an impressive advance booking collection, and the movie is expected to perform well on its first day of box office collection. According to industry data provider, Sacnilk, the film has managed to book 9.35 lakhs tickets before its release. The total advance collection based on the tickets booked is estimated to be around ₹32.21 crores, which will be ₹41.36 crores when the block seats are also taken into consideration.
Karnataka Paces the Way in Booking for “Toxic”
Home state Karnataka tops the charts for the advance booking of “Toxic”. It comes as no surprise that there is a huge audience reception in the state due to Yash’s immense popularity among the Kannada-speaking viewership. Both the Hindi and the Kannada versions of the movie are doing equally well, with a keen competition between them. Hindi 2D version has managed to earn around ₹15.68 crore in advance booking, whereas the Kannada 2D version has added around ₹13.02 crore in advance booking.
Premium Formats Contribute to Advance Booking of Toxic
The premium formats too have been adding to the advance bookings of Toxic. The Kannada IMAX 2D version has raked in more than ₹76.43 lakhs, whereas the Hindi IMAX 2D format has made around ₹40 lakhs. Apart from the above languages' versions, the Tamil 2D version has raked in approximately ₹1.15 crore. The Malayalam version has raked in around ₹34.29 lakhs, whereas the Telugu 2D version has raked in approximately ₹28.26 lakhs. The Hindi Dolby Cine format has contributed around ₹1.02 lakhs.
Welcome Back Yash After Four Years
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults is the film which will see the return of Yash on the big screen after four years. This actor gained his status as a pan-India actor due to the incredible success of the KGF series. This upcoming movie will be directed by Geetu Mohandas and will have the period of Goa from the 1950s to 1970s, the era of decline of Portuguese control, as its background.
The movie's plot revolves around the story of Raya, the man whose life takes him up through the ranks of Goa's extremely dangerous and brutal criminal world. This combination has made the movie one of the most awaited movies of this year.
