Aditya says his parents were beaten by police and demands a meeting with PM Modi

Patna 6-Year-Old Boy named Aditya has started a sit-in protest in Patna, days after he was detained during a student protest in the city. Aditya had staged dharna at Gardanibagh on Sunday and had made allegations against his parents that they were beaten up by the police when he was separated from them during custody.

Aditya was part of a group of students who were protesting for Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants' examination on August 25. These students planned to gherao the residence of the Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary demanding a variety of issues including single-level examination for the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4).

According to Aditya, he was separated from his parents and remained in custody for nearly eight hours. He accused the police of beating up his parents while they were in custody. The young boy questioned how his parents were treated in such a way when they did nothing wrong.

On the other hand, the police account is somewhat different of the incident. The police had stated initially that the child was brought to the police station for his security because the protest area had turned tense. According to the police, the child was handed over to his mother who works as a domestic help.

As per another official of the police, it was informed to the parents of the child to take care and prevent the young boy from staying in the area where the protests and disturbances were going on.

Despite the above clarification by the police authorities, Aditya is determined to continue his protest. He has appealed to the people and political leaders from all political parties to support his demands. In addition, the six year old boy has also appealed to meet the Prime Minister of India.

According to him, he will continue his protest until the Prime Minister comes to meet him and listen to his grievances. This appeal has become famous due to his small age and participation in public protests.

Apart from this, he has appealed to the politicians from all the parties to come forward and support his demands. The six year old said that if the Prime Minister is able to conduct road shows for his election campaigns, he must also meet him and listen to his grievances.

This case has once again raised the matter of continuing protests by the students and job aspirants in Bihar regarding recruitment examinations.

Though Aditya's protest has gained media focus, the claims of the child about the actions taken by the police have been refuted by the force.

The incident at Gardanibagh is still receiving attention since the child protester is determined not to stop his dharna until his request to see the Prime Minister is met.

The police officer added that the child's parents were told to be more careful and not allow their son to stay at the place of disturbances.

However, the six-year-old has refused to abandon his protest despite the police claims. The child has requested citizens as well as leaders of various political parties to support his demand. Moreover, he said that he wanted to see the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Aditya said that he would sit at the site of the protest until the Prime Minister sees and hears him. This has attracted much attention owing to his young age and the participation in the protest.

He further invited politicians of all parties to come out in his support. This boy argued that if the Prime Minister can organize road shows during elections, then he could certainly meet him as well to address his grievances.

This episode has again drawn attention to the ongoing protest agitation by students and job seekers in the state of Bihar. The protestors are voicing their grievances with regard to examinations for recruitment and changes in the examination process.

Aditya's act of protest has brought about publicity, but his allegations of police behavior still stand disputed. According to the police, the kid was taken under their custody because of his safety and then released back to his mother.
