Toxic earns ₹23 crore on Sunday and takes its India net collection to ₹214 crore
Toxic Box Office Day 5: The movie Toxic, starring Yash, has surpassed the mark of ₹200 crore at the Indian box office in only five days of its release. This thriller action movie, which is being directed by Geetu Mohandas, has got its highest opening day of ₹101.10 crore but has been continuously declining on a daily basis after its second day of release.
On Day 5, which was its first Sunday, Toxic made approximately ₹23 crore net in India through 16,241 screenings, as per data shared by Sacnilk. The movie’s India net collection is now at around ₹214.10 crore with the help of this collection, while its India gross collection is at around ₹255.95 crore. Besides, the movie also made around ₹2 crore in other countries during the fifth day. Its gross collection worldwide is reported to be around ₹285.20 crore.
Toxic Box Office Collection Day-Wise
Toxic started off very well with an opening of ₹101.10 crore in a single day. But then there was a sudden downfall in the next few days, where it made a profit of about ₹37.65 crore on the second day, ₹27.20 crore on the third day, and ₹25.15 crore on the fourth day.
With the collection of ₹23 crore on Sunday, it was able to surpass the mark of ₹200 crore in India. But due to the steady downfall each day in the collection, it has created a point of debate amongst trade analysts and fans.
The prolonged weekend has been helpful in keeping the movie above all and doing well overall. Now it depends on how it performs during the upcoming weekdays to see whether it is able to sustain its momentum and reach new milestones in the box office.
Yash And The KGF Connection
Since the KGF series, Yash's journey at the box office has undergone a huge change. Yash was initially famous in the industry of Kannada films in the year when KGF was released in 2018.
KGF: Chapter 2 is a 2022 release that is already considered a blockbuster throughout India. The film has been earning approximately ₹1,215 crore worldwide, of which ₹1,000 crore is the gross collection of India alone. The expectations generated through the success of the actor are now placed on Toxic. The huge opening indicates how popular the star is, but the performance on weekdays will decide the fate of the movie.
