Riteish Deshmukh Slams Yogesh Rawat on Lock Upp 2

1. Riteish Deshmukh confronts Yogesh Rawat over his TRP claims and evicts him from Lock Upp 2 for his attitude

Mumbai: Riteish Deshmukh got into a heated argument with contestant Yogesh Rawat in episode 2 of Lock Upp, criticizing Yogesh for saying that the TRP of the reality show decreased after he was evicted.

The entire controversy started when Yogesh Rawat came back into the show through the comeback challenge where he defeated his competitor Dheeraj Dhoopar. After Yogesh came back to the jail of Lock Upp 2, he was heard saying something about TRP of the show falling down after he was evicted and that the makers were left with no choice but to bring him back.

Riteish Deshmukh who heard about the same went up to Yogesh in the episode and said to Yogesh in anger: "I was hearing what you all were talking. You were saying 'no Yogesh, no Lock Upp.' Do you think this show runs because of you?" Riteish went ahead and criticized Yogesh's mentality and said that Yogesh tried to steal the glory of the show by saying that he came back to the show because of his fans.

The host clarified to Yogesh that it was due to a task and not any individual choice of the hosts or streaming platform that his elimination had taken place. Turning towards the participants, Riteish asked who was responsible for Yogesh's elimination. The response given by the other participants in the game was that Dheeraj Dhoopar won the task and hence Yogesh was eliminated because of the same.

In an attempt to justify his actions, Yogesh said he was just expressing his feelings. However, the host rejected this defence and accused him of boasting of being able to save the ratings of the reality show. The actor further explained that none of the hosts, the streaming platform, or even the reality show, were dependent on any one participant. On the basis of this argument, Riteish declared the elimination of Yogesh Rawat from Lock Upp 2.

It was not the first fight between the two. In the last episode, there was a confrontation when Yogesh questioned the decisions of the host. In response to this, Riteish had said, "Don't tell me. Don't put this act with me."

Lock Upp 2 can now be streamed on Netflix from Saturday till Thursday, as the show is about to complete its final round with the grand finale expected within the upcoming weeks. The cash prize that the winner will be getting is of ₹1 crore, while audiences are witnessing tough competition inside the show.
